Heather Lansdowne is passionate about fashion, creativity, and personal and professional communication. She has worked as an Assistant Manager in retail, and as a Junior Campaign Coordinator, organising talent for and participating in promotions work in Brisbane. She is a vocal participant in the online fashion community, having launched her own fashion, personal style and photography website Heat Storm in 2009. With her strong creative flair, Heather has also excelled in her current job as the Online Communications Manager at UberGlobal, the fastest growing web hosting company in Australia.

Heather’s career in the creative realm started when she took a casual job at Supré Canberra Centre 5 years ago. There, her success with creating enticing merchandising displays and in styling clients resulted in her being promoted to Assistant Manager within a few short months. During her time there, Supré Canberra Centre was consistently the most profitable of the four store locations in Canberra.

In 2010, Heather moved to Brisbane for 6 months, where her friendly personality and professional presentation led her to a job coordinating talent and promotions for The Brisbane Comedy Festival, Breaka flavoured milk and Wintergarden.

Heather launched her fashion, personal style and photography blog Heat Storm in 2009, and has since modeled both on the catwalk and in photo shoots. Possessing a keen eye and acute sense of visual creativity, she also enjoys working behind the scenes, excelling in her video production and web design courses at the University of Canberra. Similarly, she has enjoyed directing promotional photo shoots (check out Nerds with Kittens), and her nature and event photography has been published on BrisbaneTimes.com.au and RiotAct.com

Heather's passion for advertising and online communication (she achieved a Distinction average for her Bachelor of Communications), along with experience in liaising with online communities and coordinating events, has helped her excel in her current position as Online Communications Manager at UberGlobal. There, she has implemented and maintained the company blog, fortnightly newsletter and promotional schedule and social networking profiles. She has also worked on press events and several staff functions, and has implemented a free healthy breakfast program for her colleagues.
