hot air ballooning

This morning Seamus at I got up at FOUR THIRTY to go hot air ballooning, which was actually my birthday present from last year that we only just got around to doing.

The early wake up call impaired my cognitive functioning to the point where I put my shirt on inside out (you actually can't really tell in the pic above, winning!) but despite that AND me ripping my favourite jeans when I pulled them on, it was still totally awesome.

It was especially cool to see the rowers on the lake from above, since I used to be out there rowing with them back in my high school days. I also liked watching all the kangaroos, cows and sheep running away from the scary noise that the propane tank made. Yep, even though Canberra is a city we still have heaps of animals for some reason, which is pretty cool I guess.
