Chania is a cute town on the island of Crete. It's the first place we went that felt just like a normal European city, and it was fun to watch people going about their lives.

We stayed in a fun little room that had one bed up in a loft, and the family that owned the hotel gave us heaps of info on the best places to go, and made us the most extensive and delicious breakfasts every morning. They would offer us bread, cereal, yogurt, bacon and eggs, tea, coffee and hot chocolate, but then on top of our order they would bring us Nutella and banana crepes, pastries, bruschetta and fruit too! We learned pretty early to not fill up on bread, and then we hardly ever felt hungry for lunch!
