THE LAST RESORT - a fruity fresh take on vintage resort wear

(All clothes by Yellow Canary Clothing)

Let's run away to Miami for an endless summer of pastel sorbet colours and tropical cocktails. The perfect balance between retirement village and spring break, this take on resort wear is brought to you by curly haired cutie and all around sweetheart Bridget from Yellow Canary Clothing.

If you're in Canberra you can check out her collection as part of the Vintage Collective at FASHFEST this week!

pastel ideas

I have so many ideas for still life photo shoots, but I need to take more time executing them as well as just keeping an ever-expanding list. I decided to finally take these ones the other night and had fun playing around with paint, candles and my underwater camera that I haven't used for ages. I can't wait til Summer when I can maybe try some underwater shoots in the the bath and pool! This weekend I'm chilling out, watching Stranger Things, checking out a few apartments and getting ready to go to the snow on Monday! I'm pretty excited to have a three day weekend (✿◠‿◠)

what I did last summer

The last two weeks have been crazy at work, but I'm thankful to be surrounded by an amazing team and to be getting some very real experience with crisis management at a national campaign level! I spent most of the weekend sleeping and relaxing, so I'm sharing some photos from last Summer today, hope you're all having productive weeks too!

pastel pink I choose you!

(thrifted jacket and beanie, Cotton on jeans, Mountain tee)

Venturing outside in this frigid weather to catch Pokemon requires some serious pastel puffy jacket action, but even that wasn't enough to keep me warm this weekend. I guess freezing half to death is just the price you pay when you wanna be the very best! Who else is playing Pokemon Go?

fighting evil by moonlight

(thrifted sailor top and skirt)

Since Dame Judy Dench debuted her first tattoo last week I felt it was time for me to do the same!

I've been thinking about it for a while, cause I think tattoos can be so awesome! I got this cutie lil cresent moon in Quebec for a number of reasons:

1. First and foremost it's because Sailor Moon is my hero and I love her so much. She is a lazy clumsy girl who complains about her homework and just wants to eat cake and sleep and talk about boys, just like me! And then one day a talking cat just comes and tells her she's actually a princess and gives her a sweet wand that changes her outfit and kills bad guys. Serious #lifegoals.

2. The moon orbits the earth once every 27 days, but takes 29 days to complete the lunar phases, and I'm 28 years old so I'm kinda in the middle there and I thought that was neat.

3. The moon is cool and mysterious and adventurous and what is hiding on the other side of her? WHO EVEN KNOWS??!!

Have you got any tattoos? Tell me what they mean to you! xoxo
